What makes the result clean
Deleted, not hidden
Search and copy-paste show your new text. The characters you replaced are gone from the file.
The line stays put
The new text is set on the same baseline in the document's own font, so the layout does not shift.
Scans too
No text layer? Draw a box over the old value. We patch the image itself and type the new value into it.

Questions people ask
- Do you keep my file?
- No. Files are deleted from the server two hours after you stop working, or right away when you press Delete now. A downloaded file stays for 24 hours so a second download is free.
- Why do I have to sign in?
- Only to download. Signing in is how the free monthly limit is counted. You can upload and edit without an account.
- Can I change the layout or add pages?
- Not yet. TweakPDF does one thing: replacing text that is already there.
- What if the font is missing a character?
- We substitute the closest matching font and warn you in the preview before you spend a free edit.
